Back home from a very special exchange : June 18th to June 27th

10 THG students in year ten stayed in Truro /Cornwall (GB) for a week with host families.  Not only did they learn about what daily life is like in an English family, but also experienced challenges in work placements. They worked with great enthusiasm in cafés, shops, schools and a hotel where they have definitely improved their English speaking skills.

Of course, they also visited tourist attractions such as the coast, Lanhydrock (a late Victorian country house) and Truro town centre.

Even the taste of one school day at Truro College, our partner school, was quite an exciting attraction, especially as they were served typically Cornish Cream Teas in the afternoon! Another highlight was the barbecue on the beach at Perenporth.

All of them would have loved to stay longer, especially because they enjoyed proper English summer weather with only one rainy day!

Everybody is now looking forward to welcoming  the English exchange partners in November in Göttingen.

If you are generally interested in the 2016 exchange, please  contact Mrs Klauser or Mrs Kuehnle for further details.
